The Enviro-Entrepreneur School aims to identify, encourage and nurture people who aspire to starting and growing a business in the environmental goods and services sector and who have a passion for recycling and a belief in the importance of environmental technologies.
The school will support your entrepreneurial career in this fast growing marketplace by taking you through an intense four-day programme delivered by seasoned entrepreneurs, business consultants and environmentalists.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Enviro-Entrepreneur School is open to all aspiring entrepreneurs who have a great idea for a sustainable business or want to create an exciting recyclable and recycled content product. It is open to all sectors and is particularly suited to Arts, Engineering and Creative Industry graduates and alumni who want to make or design something using recycled and recyclable materials as well as business specialists who want to develop a sustainable business.
WHAT IS THE AIM OF THE SCHOOL?
The school aims to overcome the gap between designers who understand how to use and add value to exciting new recycled and recyclable materials and the world of marketing and manufacturing.
The School will take you through the process of starting and growing a business and provide you, the entrepreneur with the business and commercial skills that will help you lay the foundations for a successful launch and growth of your business.
At the end of the School you may want to consolidate your learning by registering for support from enhance. enhance is a complimentary service providing business support and advice to London-based organisations working along the recycling, reuse and remanufacturing supply chain. It aims to facilitate growth amongst small businesses and social enterprises working with recyclable materials across the Capital, offering expert advice on business development, marketing, access to funding and premises.
Up to 30 potential entrepreneurs will be selected for the school and those with the highest chance of success will be able to benefit from going onto the enhance programme.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
The School will be run over four full days, starting at 9.30 and finishing early evening. Each day will focus on a different aspect of how successful entrepreneurs go about starting and growing their business. You will develop skills around the different aspects of business start-up and maximising its growth through:
- Practical Assignments
- Workshops
- Opportunities for sharing ideas with other like-minded entrepreneurs
WHEN AND WHERE?
The School will run on 2nd - 5th July and will be hosted by Imperial College London.
IS THERE A COST?
"The School is funded by the London Development Agency, through its support service for green enterprises - Enhance."
All the materials you will need during the school, together with the lecture notes and follow-up CD toolkit and signposting will be provided free of charge.
However you will be required to pay a deposit of £50 at the start of the School which will be returned to you on completion.
